The Walsingham Pilgrimage is run together with St.Albans RC Church in Macclesfield. Each year in late spring or early summer a group of us travel (by either minibus or coach) to the National Shrine of Our Lady, at Walsingham. The pilgrimage is normally from a Monday to the Thursday. We stay at the Shrine’s own accommodation in the quaint village of Little Walsingham. During the pilgrimage we take part in rosary processions, masses, candlelit processions and many more worship activities. We also find time to explore the beautiful surrounding area, often visiting one of the nearby seaside resorts such as Wells-Next-Sea or Cromer. We also have a good time socialising in the evening. Booking for the next year’s pilgrimage begins in the Autumn.
