The young people of our parish make their Confirmation in Year 8. This is a very important Sacrament as it is when the young people renew their Baptismal promises and their initiation into the Catholic Church is confirmed by the Bishop.

We celebrate the Sacrament together with the parish of St Philip’s. Candidates reflect on the gifts of the Holy Spirit which they will receive when they are confirmed, the faith which they will profess and the commitment they will make to the Church. In June/July, Bishop Mark celebrates the Sacrament of Confirmation during a special Mass.

If you are under 18 and are interested in being confirmed then come along and have a chat with us at SPY (St Peter’s Youth group) which meets on the 2nd Sunday evening of each month 7 – 8:30 pm in the parish meeting room.
